Question

Can employees/officers represent a corporation in district court in Douglas county Colorado?

Answer

An officer of a closely-held corporation can represent the corporation in district court only if the claim at issue is under $10,000, exclusive of costs, interest, and statutory penalties. See CRS 13-1-127. Otherwise, only an attorney can represent the corporation in court.
