Question

direct verdict

If a judge issues a direct verdict in a

criminal case can the case then be

filed in another criminal court

Answer

Re: direct verdict

Assuming that the directed verdict came after the jury was sworn in and testimony was given, then no re-trial is allowed. This is because of the double jeopardy clause.
