What could cause a car to drop its speed and then motor quit?
It could be that your timing belt ripped or if your car is equipped with a lot of sensors (bmw, mercedes, ect) then it could be a sensor problem but the engine wouldn't quit...so most likely timing belt rip or alt belt slipped off.
