My Great Great Grandfather inheited land from his father and he died. Do his inheritance go to his wife or his children?

Answer

All the land goes to the children. However the surviving spouse has a life estate in 1/3 of the property. Of course, this assumes that there is no will. If there was, the language of the will would control the disposition of the property.
