Does the future belong to women?
Firstly the 'future' is pretty shaky as far as the human race is concerned; its not even likely that we'll survive the current millenium. The question you're asking is whether or not women will become the dominant sex, which if you are a woman, am afraid to say, is unlikely.
Although huge steps have been taken to emancipate women in the recent century, there is still a number of male-dominant societies - it is even arguable that the West is still patriarchal. An unpopular truth is that men are by nature dominant creatures due to their physical strength and testosterone levels. The patriarchals ystem has been around since before records began, and there are no real accounts of matriarchal societies (some womens studies experts believe one has been found in polenesian islands, but no evidence supports this other than conjecture).
The fact is that in a world that is dominated by a single sex, the opposite sex tends to feel cheated. This would certainly be true of men and if we are to learn from history we should learn that people - ALL people - cannot be opressed forever. A gender-equal future is much, much more preferable than a world ruled by either men or women.
(im a bloke by the way)
Actually they belong in the kitchen.
