How does the praportioning valve hook up?
depending on year make model the proportioning valve is usually mounted after the master cylinder some time to the fenderwell with a bracket and sometimes with long bolt the go through body of valve the are required to be connected withdot rated brake line with double flared ends on each connection the valves purpose is to regulate the fluid pressure that needs to have more pressure to go to front brake and knock down pressure to rear brakes like i said depending on the vehicle rhe front brakes normally receive 70% of the pressure and the rear only needs about 30% pressure the average car does 70% stopping on front and 30% in back being mosr carweight and stop inertia falls heavily on the front the valve also has a pressure loss valve will turn on red brake light ilettin you know you have a pressure loss on part of you system
