I can only tell you what I did as a young man in Louisiana. I mowed lawns....lots of lawns. I asked every person I met and got lots of jobs on the cuff that way. In one 4 month summer I earned 3200 dollars at 20 bucks a yard plus more for trim. It is hard work and you must have a good mower and your parents must support you.Start small...one yard....then work up your clients one at a time and let your parents get the word out that you are cutting yards at 20 a yard .
