What to do if you flood an electronic fuel injection engine?

What to do if you flood an electronic fuel injection engine?
Here's the suggestion I tried on my flooded Mazda Protege 1998:1. Remove the fuel injector fuse (check your owner's manual-it's located in the fuse box under the hood or in the dash)2. Turn your ignition. It'll rev for a few seconds and then stop. Wait a minute, then turn it again. (don't turn and hold longer than 10seconds, it'll drain the battery). This step apparently dries out the gas-flooded engine3. Put the fuel injector fuse back4. Turn on the ignition. The car should now start.
