On the Employment Development Department's (EDD) website, it states that it is possible to be eligible for unemployment if I quit my job--under the circumstance that termination was threatened. Would having written proof of this heavily weigh in my favor with the EDD? Is there any other documentation or information that I could obtain to help my case for unemployment under this circumstance? Thanks!

Yes, a proof that if you didn't quit, you would have been terminated around the same time would be very helpful to your unemployment benefits claim, and should pretty much determine your elibility, assuming that you meet all the other criteria.
