I reside in Pennsylvania. My husband left me and our two children. I have received primary custody of our children and allow husband and his mother visitation. What legal recourse do I have if his mother is ignoring the custody orders and is doing what she wants to do?
My guess is without seeing the order is his mother gets her periods of partial custody through your husband. If she is causing him to violate the custody order you would file a petition for contempt of custody.

A coworker's cell phone was found outside. Others read text messages from it that related to me. After they read the messages, the phone was given to me to read the messages pertaining to me. I did. Now that she found out who all read her messages, she is threatening us with a civil lawsuit. Was my reading her text messages illegal?
It was certainly ill-mannered. If the cellphone was found, it is proper to ascertain to whom it belonged. It is not illegal to have read them in the situation described. She could have password locked the phone.
Can you lay out the role of a beneficiary? I am the trustee and one beneficiary is requesting to know what is in the bank acct so we know what we have to work with for repairs of house before I sell it, wants me to assign beneficiary as project manager to get quotes and manage repairs at a family cottage, wants me assign another beneficiary as project manager to get my mom's former primary residence for sale, etc. He is making things difficult. I have already sent the first annual acctg and will do another one after year end. Am I obligated to give him bank info or assign others to assist in the admin of the trust? We live in Michigan. I have been handling transferring of stocks, repairs at the cottage, cleanout of the house, etc. so it is not like I am not doing my job.

As the Trustee you are in charge. The beneficiaries have rights to information about the assets. The trust document should disclose the details of the information required. Normally, you are not required to assign beneficiaries jobs or allow any of them to assist in the repairs or administration. In fact it may be a breach of your duty to other beneficiaries if you were to give one benefits or money over the others. I have custody of a minor child whose natural parents are deceased. i applied for survivor benifits on his behave but somehow withion social security he was accidently flagged as deceased instead of his mother. i have been dealing with this for twn months and finally have proven him alive and ss now ackowledges this. however, its been 75 days since i've proven him alive and still haven gotten back due money and only one monthly payment in three months now. my calls are not returned and when i do get through i just get told i have to be patient. how can i lite a fire under their ass
We represent people for SSI/SSDI and these are very long processes. Unfortunately, there is little that may be done. The Social Security Administration moves to the beat of their own drum. I would suggest you simply keep calling them and asking to speak to a supervisor.
