What would cause a car to sqeak when turning it off?
it could be a belt, like for the a/c, alternator, water pump, etc. usually belt squeaks are short little squeaks that happen when the car is first turned on, but it could still be a belt for when the car is turned off.

Two things about belts that can cause squeaking:

1) rubber gets old and brittle, less compliant, etc. its usually cheap to replace. its easy to look for cracks and wear.

2) belts are installed with a specific tension. squeaking can come from low tension. sometimes bolts come loose and the tension needs to be reset.
