Alcohol sold to a minor.
I accidently sold alcohol to a minor at my previous job. Lost my job, got a court date notice, etc. I learned that the charges were dropped against the store I worked for (it was going to be fined $1000 dollars), so I was wondering if that means the charges were dropped against me as well? My court date is upcoming, and I just wondered if this helped me in any way.

Re: Alcohol sold to a minor.
You are the one who comitted the crime/infraction, so whether they are also prosecuting someone else may not help you. Perhaps they realized that you were primarily at fault, rather than the store. It is not the same as a car accident. If you were driving and at fault, YOU, and not the employer, would still get the ticket. Civil liability for damages is not nearly the same thing as criminal violations or infractions.

It might help you. You could argue that since your boss, who would be liable if you were to drive a company truck and cause a wreck in which you were at fault, is not being prosecuted, neither should you.
