I have a Car that wont reverse and the alternator is bad Could this be Causing it to turn off when pressing the gas or is that something different?
There is no relationship between the gear box and the alternator regard to the movement of the car, so your problem is elsewhere, most likely in the transmission system, the road wheels or the braking system.The turning off could be as a result in stiffness resulting from the problems mentioned above.
