My son's gf is 23 weeks pregnant and considering abortion in california what can we file with the courts to establish paternity and keep the baby from being aborted?

This is not an area know much about, but no one seems to be answering your question. You need to speak to several family law attorneys to find out what the law is, but I think you can not legally prevent the abortion. What about offering to raise the baby yourself, economic help [your son will have to pay child support anyway].

There is no legal right to stop an abortion unless the mother is mentally incompetent to consent to the medical procedure.
