Is there a quick fix to a bad catalyst?

Is there a quick fix to a bad catalyst?
Legally no. Some people have been known to punch the insides of it out but this is a Federal crime. It's better to just buy a replacement. They do not take that long to replace, and while seemingly expensive if you turn the old one in to a scrapper they will pay you (because of the platinum) and then the price of a new one won't seem so bad.

The other more important thing to figure out is why the catalyst went bad. If it did you probably have some other problem you need to fix before you go replacing it.
