What is the function of Air condition in Air craft?
For keeping cool during ground operations. However, in light General Aviation aircraft, during the takeoff roll and climb out, the air conditioner must be in the off mode. Generally small aircraft have a switch linked to the throttle control which automatically switches the a/c off.
In low level flight during summer months in places likes Texas and Arizona, a cabin's temperature can go as high as 140 degrees F.
Airliners use a/c for maintaining a cool cabin for the passengers.
