I filed a lawsuit pertaining to employee benefits and the defendant did not answer within 30days.Then I filed a default login with the court and haven't bearded from the court in about 4 months.I called the court and the clerk only tells me that my case is pending.This is taking a long time.

Answer

Unfortunately, your experience is common. The courts are overburdened because of the litigious society and understaffed because of budget cuts. There is nothing really you can do but check in with the clerk once a month.
