what is deffered judification?

Answer

Re: what is deffered judification?

Deferred Adjudication is a special kind of probation. The difference between deferred adjudication is that

1. There is no conviction or finding of guilt on your record.

2. If the state files a motion to revoke probation and wins, there will be a finding of guilt. The court will also impose a sentence and could impose the maximum sentence under the law.

3. If deferred is completed sucessfully you may, depending upon the offense, be eligible to file a petition for non disclosure. If granted, this would remove the arrest and related information from disemmination the public. However, law enforcement and the courts would still have access to it.
